 Crawler Cranes can pick and carry loads into a place where a rubber-tired crane cannot access very easily  They offer a robust platform for steel erection, pile driving, dragline, and clamshell operations.  A Crawler Crane can distribute its weight better than a rubber tire crane but still may require ground preparation or crane mats.
